The Results Count 2008 Award

by Peggy M. Parks, AICI CIP, CPBS

I received an award today–the very first in my entire life! I was recognized by my peers for the contribution I made to the community this year at an event sponsored by Atlanta Women in Business, which was founded by Lya Sorano over 20 years ago. I received the Results Count 2008 Award and Robin Hensley, President of Raising the Bar in Atlanta, GA, is the person who nominated me. Thank you, Robin!

So how does it feel to receive an award? I am walking on clouds! Over 30 clients and friends gathered at Food 101 in Atlanta for a delicious lunch. My husband and love of my life, Bernie Moskow, was there to support me as well as my old boss from my corporate days, Tom Heiser! Those two guys were having fun among all those women!

Honestly, I don’t remember what I said when I accepted the award! I was so excited and so happy that I probably rambled on and on…no, I don’t think so! I’ve already received many emails from people telling me I was better than Sally Field at the 1985 Academy Awards when she said:  “You like me, you really like me!” I understand what she means!  Not only did I feel liked today, but loved!

Life is good, especially when you are recognized for a job well done! The blood, sweat and tears shed the first two years I started my business were well worth it!

Thank you all!
