Earlier this year I wrote about my effort to take part in more random acts of kindness. I’m still working at it and finding it rewarding. Last week I noticed some tourists struggling with a map, and I stopped to offer them directions. So many of these acts are so simple and took almost no time or effort.
I’ve also noticed that people pay it forward. Recently I was struggling with a heavy bag and a nice man offered to take it up the stairs for me. Another day, I was meeting a friend at a café when I noticed that my phone battery had died. I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to get in touch with my friend, but my waitress offered to charge it for me behind the hostess stand. It’s lovely to be surrounded by such positivity.
So, what’s the last random act of kindness you performed? Has someone done a good deed for you? Please share in the comments below. I’d love to hear about it!
