Civility means...
How others describe “Civility”...
“Teaching civility is an obligation of the family.”
Stephen L. Carter
author of “Civility: Manners, Morals and the Etiquette of Democracy”
“Civility costs nothing, and buys everything.”
Lady Mary Wortley Montagu
(1689-1762)
“Civility is based on three Rs: Respect, Restraint and Responsibility.”
P.M. Forni, Ph.D.

Civility in the Workplace:
Many successful organizations say that excellent customer service is their core value. So how come every time we venture outside the four walls of our homes we encounter so much rudeness?
Lack of training!
Training cannot start early enough. Every school child can learn to be respectful and responsible and to restrain him- or herself in conduct toward others.
Your organization will benefit when your employees adopt the principle of the three Rs, when they are schooled in professional image, business etiquette, social and dining etiquette, personal branding and civility. When they have the skills that will enhance their performance and sense of value at work and in the world at large, excellent customer service will become the norm and your bottom line will show the results.
